Game crashes immediately after intro was created by andrej_
Hello!
In fullscreen game crashes immediately after player select screen (in main hall).
Also then I delete player, etc.
Windowed mode is ok.
Intel HD 4600, zip attached.
Comparing windowed vs fullscreen log shows that in fullscreen it stops on line
Bitmap 2_Pop3.dds allocated 828688 bytes
(this and all subsequent lines are missing - game crashed).
Any ideas, pilots?

Also mouse button release often is not handled - ship keeps firing after release, etc.

Hello

It seems, there is a problem with the shader support. Try the following:

-Start DBST
-Type in the command line box this: -no_glsl
-Press "Start Debug Build..."
-Post support zip again.

Seems like nothing changed - stopped on the same line
Strange thing that it's only in fullscreen.
What can cause problem in fullscreen but not in a window?
Drivers are latest from Intel.

The point is, i am not the main programer and it's very unlikely that he will answer questions here ever, because he is retired.

At my point of view, i can only see that there is a problem with the graphic driver, especially shader support. But why only in fullscreen, i have no idea.

Update:

I found now the following:

"ATI compatibility: Current ATI drivers contain a bug that prevents certain shaders from compiling correctly. Normals maps will not work on ATI HD 4xxx series or older. Solution: install older ATI drivers (mid June 2010), copy atioglxx.dll into the game's directory, and re-install the new ATI drivers. Newer ATI cards should work properly."

But I'm not on ATI. It's Davil's Canyon built in Intel HD 4600 video.
Do you suggest just to find atioglxx.dll and put it into game dir?
This is very unlikely since this file won't be requested by intel driver.
Maybe my problem is close to one you replied earlier - "Game crashes in the selection room".
It's also on Intel video.

Ooops, sorry, my fault! I read "HD 4xxx" and meant, it is ATI. ;)

We have another user with a similar problem, but still no solution. :o

Is it possible somehow to switch to fullscreen from a window?
Or have window to lock mouse inside?
My window often moves if mouse is out of it, it's very inconvenient in a battle.
