Some of my WCS tools and FAQ's

Here a list of some of my WCS tools which can be useful for someone.

Tools

WCS Setup ZIP Check & UnZip

You have problems unpacking the big WCS ZIP file? Then try this. It can check the archive with MD5, can unzip the archive and can start the setup after unzipping.

WCS Pilot Manager

WCS have two little drawbacks with his build-in pilot manager: It can't clone the whole profile with all campaigns and it can't clone only the settings. With this tool you can do this and you have a simple way for backup your pilot profiles too.

WCS EPW-Bug Repair (Excalibur has no primary weapons)

There exists a very rare bug in the engine. In some cases you can't go further in the campaign, because the ship technicians in your hangar have simply forgot to mount the primary weapons on your Excalibur. If so, then this tool can help.

WCS Debug-Build Support-Tool (DBST)

Normaly you should hunt Kilrathi's, not bug's. But if needed, this tool can help us WCS supporters to help you. It collects several informations about your Windows and hardware environment and have a special game engine included - called "WCS Debug Build" - which is suitable to hunt bugs.

WCS DVD Launcher

You love to collect game CD's and DVD's? Then this is the right tool for you. With this you have a DVD launcher for your own "Wing Commander Saga DVD", ideally for your Wing Commander collection.

WCS Base Auto Extract

Do you want to change something at mod level or do you plan to create your own WCS missions or campaign or do you simply want a look behind the scenes? Then WCS Base Extract is a good start to first unpack all WCS content very easy and very fast. It supports the original VP's with the officially WCS patch 1.1.0.7822.

WCS Mouse Trap

You want to play WCS in window mode and you fly with mouse, but you irritated about lost mouse focus during gameplay? WCS Mouse Trap solves this problem simple and comfortable.

WCS Launch On Secondary Monitor

This tool allows to launch WCS on any secondary monitor with a special fullscreen window mode. It can also coupled with WCS Mouse Trap. It works out-of-the-box with a second monitor but it can also be configured to run on any other secondary monitor (third, fourth etc.).

FAQ's

Joystick: configure throttle and rudder

This helps to configure your WCS so you can use the rudder and throttle feature on your joystick.

Well, now i play my role as human anti-spam bot.

- added WCS Launch On Secondary Monitor

All tools have updates (except DVD Launcher). Primary change on all tools is support for Win 10. Tested also all tools with Win 10 Pro.
