OpenAL32.dll not found ... but it exists!

Hi

I downloaded and installed WC Saga - Darkest Dawn.
I installed OpenAL, too

When i try to run it, i get told that the OpenAl32.dll is missing.
But the dll is present in Windows\system32.

I downloaded the ALCapsViewer from OpenAL home to verify OpenAL is installed successfully and it seems to be.

I copied the dll to WC root, but then the game can't be started as well.
I tried running as admin as well

Using Winsdows 7 64bit, ATI Radeon HD 6870

Any idea what's wrong?

Well, i solved the problem.
After reinstalling OpenAL32.dll several times, scanning for malware, and experimenting with OpenAL32.dll 32 and 64 bit versions i found the following thread:

The following really helped:

"OpenAL32.dll not found."

Install OpenAL.
If no success, remove ct_oal.dll and nvopenal.dll from \Windows\System32\ and install OpenAL.
If still no success, remove OpenAL32.dll and wrap_oal.dll from \Windows\System32\ and install OpenAL.
If the problem still persists, check that none of the mentioned .dll files are in your \freespace2\ directory. ShivanSPS's SCP Upgrade Pack, for example, places an old OpenAL32.dll to your \freespace2\ directory and that will prevent the game from running.

I had to delete wrap_oal.dll as well.

Just for others having a similar problem.

Try to rewrite it. Add this file (openAL32.dll) to your root game folder and windows folder. Check, maybe it's archived, in this case extract it. You can download new archive from fix4dll.com/openal32_dll . Hope it will solve your problem.

If you want to access the OpenAL32.dll file, But it exist in the system but not found then in this case you have to check here the missing openal32.dll file and then save the settings of this file carefully then you can work now and each dll will definitely found.
