Some performance questions

Hi guys,

First off, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS GAME! Having so much fun revisiting my old school WC days. Now to business:

1) VSync seems to be stuck to on, despite having disabled it in both the Catalyst Control Centre (CCC from here on) and in the game launcher. FPS display hovers at 59-60 constantly. How can I fix this?

2) The game taxes one CPU core very heavily, while others as well as my GPU are practically on idle. This has is affecting my game performance. Is the game multi-core aware? Is there a way to reduce my CPU usage and make the GPU take up more load?

System specs:

AMD Athlon X4 645 3.1GHz
AMD Radeon HD6850 with Cat 12.3 driver
4GB DDR-2
Windows 7 x64

Cannot answer all of your questions but I'm positive that the game has no multicore support.

That's not exactly true. It uses multithreading for loading operations and other things, so it can utilize other cores. However the engine itself is not multicore optimized so most of the time other cores will just idle. There was no time to implement any kind of proper usage of multicore (that is an extremely difficult thing to implement properly).

Just an update from my side: I finally managed to disable VSync by deleting the Catalyst profile I created for the game. It now runs between 100-120fps and plays much smoother, even though the CPU usage is still high. It seems the game doesn't play well with VSync.
