Cinematics performance

Hello

I have a problem with all cinematic. The thing is that performance during playback is really bad.(100% CPU usage on one core). Effect is a terrible stuttering of video and audio.
I managed to extract those videos from VP file and all my players can decode and play them with minimal CPU usage(2-3%). I tried removing all video codecs, video drivers reinstallation - no effect. Game itself works perfectly with a stable FPS rate.

Same here. Setting affinity to use all cores has no effect.

Running a Core-i3 330UM with ATI 5450.

similar problem here. Cinematics are stuttering like hell for the most part (at some moments they're nearly running smoothly but most time they don't). The audio of the cinematics doesn't stutter though.
Game itself is running smoothly with highsettings

Hi,

I am running the game on an I3 - 3100 / Nvidea GTI 550ti / 8gb ram

All cinematics run smooth except once: that was when the pc started running various applications in the background & internet was busy busy

So as a tip perhaps: close all applications, even email & internet programms.

@horizon: Even with most of the system services disabled and close to none background processes problem still exist - It has something to do with in-game OGG player.

Not sure if this is related technically or not, but I'm running an Nvidia GTX550 on XP32 and when I first start up the game, the cinematics are choppy/laggy. I alt-tab once and it immediately fixes it. Not sure why, just does. The rest of the game is perfect after that, and I'm only running a Core2Quad at 2.8GHz. It's worth a try.

Sadly this doesn't work for me

Interesting fact, the briefings are running quite smoothly (except for the tactical grid stuff, this seems to be stuttering sometimes, but I could be wrong). Also the Intro - Sequence for the prologue runs smoothly when the camera is inside the wellington filming the communications guy.
It seems strange to me that my cpu handles interior and people (and the game itself!) without a problem, but when it comes to showing some spaceships or even just the Wing Commander Saga Logo at the intro (when I start up the game) he's unable to cope with it.

I'm at a loss why showing a video should bother him that much at all, but maybe someone can shed some light on that fact.

I'd really love to see your cutscenes. I bet they're awesome when they're shown with more than 1 frame per sec.
