Guys,
I really am humbled that you guys are itching for a sequel. Main problem is that any sequel is definitely not going to happen, even with Kickstarter.
The reasoning is that most of us have moved on. We all have our own careers, ambitions, and real life. Some of us have families and kids to take care of. Saga was one huge ultra-marathon of effort, drive, initiative, and teamwork that lasted for 10 years. To put in perspective, I started working on the very basic of WC Saga stuff when I was a college senior. Fast forward, I joined the military, lead people, made friends, lost some friends, flew planes, did a tour at a staff HQ, almost got killed (fun time that was), and I'm attending a top ranked university for my MBA.
If anything, anything you see from here on out will be mopping up, "after action" stuff so to speak. Finishing stuff here and there, website, patches, stuff like that. I wouldn't have changed anything I've worked on in WC Saga in the past 10 years, it taught me a bit about marketing, entrepreneurship, industry analysis of the gaming community, and strategic innovation in the face of a community that tends to resist change and new direction. These experiences are helping me in business school big time, I've talked about WC Saga in my applications, to my classmates, and to my professors who were really interested and impressed in how a small grassroots team of gaming fans turned out a professional grade product that ended up being more critically acclaimed then we ever thought it would be.
I definately love to keep in touch with some of you here and I appreciate the fan base. But yeah, I have new priorities.
