Problems with intercepting Predator capship missiles.

Good time of day (or night) to ya.
I have a problem with mission №18.
So, short version- I flew to the nav point with others, than Colonel ordered to engage an afterburs and head at flackspeed towards the damaged carrier. Shortly after that carrier gets blown up (and I have to fly at least some portion of a road without afterburns in oder to save some fuel for the upcoming dogfights, which is pretty frustrating), etc. So. While escorting the remaning destroeyr cats attacks my group twice. And on the second time they use the Predator missiles, launched from some corvetts. Thats where my problems starts. I simply can't intercept them. If I rush to corvetts, I miss them. Stay with the destroyer- same promblem- missiles unclocking too late, and it dosen't matter how hard I try to be ready for them, they always outran me (even on the afterburns). They even outran my rockets (or the world has gone completely mad and unmanned rockets can launch a countermeasure)) Tried 4 times with the same result. Advice?

First of use your glide (ALT-G) after engaging afterburner to conserve fuel, secondly check out this thread - your problem was already mentioned.
