cloaked stealth fighters

A courius observation I have made: when I shoot down a cloaked stealth fighter it dosn't seem to be accounted to my kills.

Obviously there are a number of possible explanations but it hase happened to me on several occasions when I was pretty sure to have been the only person shooting at that particular fighter.

Could this be true or am I hallucinating?

ps.: yes the thing was dead an not just doing the submarine.

There was probably a glitch when you shot it.

They should be counted. However you need to make most of the damage to get the kill, otherwise you only get an assist.
