Pilot Disappeared

When I ran the game this afternoon (I still haven't beaten it, taking my time!) my pilot profile was gone, I typed in the Callsign I had and it just started me off from the very beginning. I couldn't find where the saved games are located at, I had hoped I could somehow transfer the data to the new callsign and resume playing from where I had been in the game. I just want to know if there is anyway to retrieve the profile, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is still an issue, please give this a try.
