Thank you very much Keldor, now everything makes sense 😉
So it is possible to gain more than one bronze/silver/gold star like in wc1 ?
And will you adjust the kills needed to get the kill based medals to the number of possible kills in the full campaign ? (yeah, stupid question 😊 )
Yes you can get more than one silver and bronze star.
And no we won't change the number of kills necessary for the kill medals because those values are canon.

I only asked because you achieve 100 kills in no time and century award sounds like a medal that isn't awarded to everyone. But in fact, my knowledge of canon wc medals is very limited.
Ace has been awarded for 5 kills since the first days of combat flying. That simply won't change. And it is confirmed to be canon, you got those medals in Wing Commander 1 as well. We cannot and will not change that. We have more than enough other medals to go around.
In total you can get 12 medal ribbons (a few of them in the prologue only) and 7 large medals, three of those several tims. That should be enough 😉 It's more than you got in any Wing Commander game and even more than in Freespace 2.
Also it should be clear by now that this game is trying to show a more realistic side of the Kilrathi war. That is isn't about getting as many kills as possible as fast as possible but about saving lives and sometimes just staying alife. So we will reward success in missions and initiative a lot more than kills.
Sure, I was aware of that and I understand and appreciate the way you are doing this. In fact so far I am very happy with the way you implemented the medals and this is no complaint or something like this. I actually only wanted to understand the reason why these medals could be earned this early in the game.
I tend to forget that in a war like this most of the pilots get shot down without ever getting a single kill and that guys like the player/sandman simply are lucky bastards who end the war beeing in an elite squad while others might be proud of having survived the conflict without a scratch.
Thats more then enough medals. Even without it would be ok ^^ We want Sagas Release 😊
