No sound at all

I just installed the beta (Nephele) during the last days but I have still issues with the sound. I own a USB headset which never caused any problems but for WCSaga I simply cannot get any sound to appear. The Launcher offers three options (no sound, Generic Software on..., Generic Software on L245...). The last one would be my LCD via HDMI which I never use. Although the menu doesn't show the full text I am pretty sure the 2nd entry should be the right one. Only question, why is't anything getting through.

It works with vanialla Frespace 2, SCP and anything else without a flaw.

Now this is weird. Before heading off to the office I wanted to turn on AntiAliasing. It somehow didn'T seem to work via the launcher so I set it up via NVIDIA control panel with force AntiAliasing 8x for the game exec. I didn'T change anything in the launcher. When starting the game I suddenly had sound and AA. Therefore my pilot's campaign which was in mission 5 was reset to the start of the campaign. The pilot was still there but all progress and stats reset. How could this happen? I tried to recreate the process for a qualified bug report but it doesn't appear again.

Anyways, sound is working now and I have to tell you, it's amazing. Voice acting, music and ambient sounds are great!

First of all there is no option to activate AA in the launcher so naturally you couldn't activate it there.

The textbox for audio devices is too short for some devices, but that's what the tooltip is for that appears if you keep your mouse on the textbox for a moment.

The other issues are simply not possible. Any driver setting cannot influence the audio device setting, let alone reset your pilot file settings.

I strongly suspect that you never actually saved your settings in the launcher before you started the game. As for your campaign progress... that's not possible, as mentioned. neither the launcher, nor any driver tool know anything about the location or contents of your pilot files.
