I'm Jan, 20 years old and from germany. Always been a big fan of space sims. X-Wing Alliance was my first game on the PC and then moved on to all the other great gems of that once so glorious genre.

So, I hope I can help out polishing this game as much as possible. 😊

But, the 90's were the best. Origin was awesome- all the games they made were instant classics. However, the Wing Commander series- ESPECIALLY PRIVATEER- is the best in gaming history. I love wing commander. I too am a fan of the X series and other space sims, but you just cant touch wing commander..... die kilrathi, die!!!

My name is Florian, I'm 25 years old and also from Germany.

My first contact with Wing Commander or space sims or games utilizing FMV for that matter, was actually the PlayStation version of Wing Commander III. When I picked it up I really didn't know what to expect but needless to say I fell in love with it.

Since then I have of course played all the other Wing Commander games (except Arena) and most other space sims out there.

I own boxed copies of almost every Wing Commander and Privateer released on PC (sadly no Kilrathi Saga) including Armada, Academy and the DVD version of Wing Commander IV and for some reason I've owned 4 copies of Wing Commander III including the PlayStation version and 3 of Wing Commander IV counting the DVD version.

I'm looking forward to participating in the beta test and I hope I can be of some use.

I feel nostalgic playing the wing commander series specifically wc4... i own the 6 disc wc4 series which happens to be my favorite game...

I was disappointed with the wing commander movie but that doesn't stop me from watching it.

I became addicted to battlestar galactica because i like space.

I look up at the stars and get lost in my head because of WC.

Origin changed my life at a young impressionable age, and i have been lost since the day origin died.

I found hope in WCIC. That's where i found out about WCsaga. I played the demo. Over and over and over and over.

I took life lessons from vagabond, I knew that kids like maniac were just missing guidance. I strove to be like Blair. I wish i knew a mechanic like pliers. All these actors weren't acting to me.

well... that's why i got into this. Its part of who i am... Who i will always be.

I'm Marcus from Canada, and have been an avid WC junkie since I first discovered Privateer. I later went on to play all of the other games, of course. Even Privateer 2. Hell, I even like the Wing Commander movie. Somewhat. Then again, I'm generally fond of the whole military culture and may in fact be joining the Royal Canadian Air Force (not as a pilot, but in comms & electronic engineering) within the next few years. I should have done it when I was 20 to avoid becoming the oldest shavetail in air force history. But hey, if you don't wish you could be 20 again, it only means that you are, in fact, 20.

i am sebastian (or sepl), 33y old and from Austria (Vienna)... played all the WC/Privateer games from the beginning -love everything on it -at least the great music... -i love learning buttons and get routine in controlls and master cool space-fights... -i never understood why in the last 10 years nearly no cool space game comes out... -so i am verry happy that this project is going on... and yes, as everyone here i guess (i did not read all the introduction of everyone) i am a natural born space and SciFi Fan too...😉 -space, spaceships, spacestations, laser-guns, uniforms, TIE-Fighter, girls in tight space-suits, galaxys, black holes, TCS-Victory, high-tech, cyberpunk, endels-interstellar-wars, FTL, radio messages, orbital nuklear drops, han solo, adama, spok, BFG 9000 and all that stuff i realy love!

Greetings. My name is Damian, 30 years old, live in Poland. Played first WC on my Amiga 500 in early 90's. Loved the series from the first sight, along with Privateer spin-off. Played them all with the exception of Privateer 2. Other than that I enjoyed all Lucas Arts space sim games beginning with X-Wing and legendary Tie Fighter, Freespace 1 & 2, Starlancer, I-War and other Origin story driven sims (Strike Commander, Pacific Strike, Wings of Glory). I'm also huge fan of military flight simulators (LOMAC, IL2, Falcon4AF) and tactical shooters (Operation Flashpoint, ARMA2). Although the family life and work consumes most of my spare time nowadays, I still find some to sink in some virtual universe waging epic battles... Best Regards.

I'm Alexander from Germany. 35 years old and a great fan of Wing Commander. Winter 1990 i become my frist PC 386 SX 16 Mhz, 1 MB RAM and 40 MB HD to play the first Wing Commander. Thats my hobby for the last 21 years Oo and have atm around 1500 original PC Games and several PC (7^^)

I watch this project from the early beginning (found the news at the CIC) and make 2 Mods for the Saga Prologue. First the Wing Commander 2 Remake and second The Last Line of Defence. WC2 Remake is a Demo done with the first 6 Missions. Last Line of Defence is on-hold until I finish the WC2 Remake + Addons and then Last Line will be done with the newer Engine and Models.

My Favorite Games are Space Combat Simulations but the last 6 years after Freelancer was boring. I'm also testing atm the Beta from the MMO Black Prophecy with is in my opinion a Freelancer MMO Clone. A lot of the Controls and Menu are 100 % copies from Freelancer Oo

My name is Matt and I live in Michigan, U.S. I am 28 years old and I have been a fan of the Wing Commander series and Origin ever since I first fired up the original Wing Commander. I played it so frequently that I would constantly try to better my kill score. I think I ended up getting to 260 or so as my best count 😊

Aside from that, I've always been a fan of the Space Sim games and when I heard about this project I instantly knew I had to be a part of this. I have been itching for a new Wing Commander game for years, and I eagerly wait for this game. I'm sure I'll be talking with all of you about this project soon!

My name is Torsten, I live in Cologne (Köln), Germany and I am 33 years old. I played all Wing Commander-Titles aswell as the X-Series, Freelancer and many others. Last games of this genre I played were Projekt Sylpheed (crap) and Darkstar One on Xbox 360. But none of these games came close to the feeling of wcII-V.

I hope this project will catch the classics elements of this arcade space combat simulation we all loved.

I'm Dave. I wonder if I'm one of the older testers, I'm 48 and live in New Mexico. I've been playing computer games on systems starting back with the old Apple II, then my first Apple IIc. Once I started playing on PCs, I found the Wing Commander series and got totally hooked. What was great about the series, besides the playability, was the opportunity to watch the changes in technology and the improvement in graphical and game quality. I haven’t found a game that matched the quality or story line of Wing Commander, although Star Lancer (a Chris Roberts production) came as close as I have been able to find in the past few years. I am ultra-excited to see a new Wing Commander game in the making, and to be a part of that process. My name is Sheldon I am a 25 year old doctor from Australia. In my spare time i enjoy playing computer games and have done so since i was quite young. I remember my dad and I walking into a computer store in the early 1990's and he bought Wing Commander 3 for me. Sadly our computer at the time could not run it and I waited 6 months before I was able to give it a go! 😭

I remember downloading the prologue to WCSaga many years ago when it was first released and knew that it was going to be a fantastic addition to the series. I am delighted to be on board as a tester and look forward to helping the developers make this game fantastic. 😊

I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Karl I am 29 years old and I am a PC gamer. I have never been big on console, there is just so much you can't to with them like make a good flight sim.

I have been a Wing Commander fan since 1994 when I bought WC3("Light" was my first WC3 call sign) and bought all the following games and as many of the preceding ones I could get my hands on. I was highly impressed with the WC:Saga-Prologue ➡️ and have been looking forward to the full release.

I must say that I was a bit stunned the other day when I checked my E-mail to see that I had been selected as an additional beta tester. :shock: I have not done any testing before but I hope that I will be able to offer some useful analysis.

Hey everyone, my name is Chris, I live in Germany and just got my papers as a beta tester (so to say 😉 ). I'm 28 years old and currently working on my university degree (Information Sciences) after having worked as as software engineer for a few years. When I'm not learning, working, or playing computer games, I like being in my whitewater kayak the most. I also started my gaming career with classics such as the X-Wing and Wing Commander series and I miss games like these in today's gaming world. While my main interest did shift towards military simulations over the years (Red Orchestra series, Falcon series, Il2 Sturmovik series, LongBow, Combat Mission series, the list goes on...), I've always retained a soft spot for space combat sims and sci-fi in general (still hoping for someone to revive System Shock...). I thoroughly enjoyed playing the Saga Prologue back when it came out, as it got very many things right and I look forward to helping improve the game even more.

In the past i foundet the Babylon5-mod for X3 and worked on a few projects for some time. I love Wing Commander, grow up with "Heart of the tiger" which was one of the best games i ever played because of the epic story.

I watch this project for a few years and thought about helping several times but my skills were not good enough in the past and now it´s to late to help with modelling and so on so i decided to help as a betatester 😊

I am 37 old man from Michigan I got first played wing commander by playing wing commander 3 on the Play station. latter I found wing commander 1 on super Nintendo. I played wing commander 4 on the play station. I found a Wing Commander prophecy in wall mart and bought it two weeks latter I bought my first PC so that i could play it. The reference to Casey has "Frosty" by Dallas was what lead me to calling my character self Frosty Thundertrod in nearly every game I could name my character in. Now days only my family use my real name all my friends and co-workers call me Frosty.

Did you meen to change the link on the website to point to these forums not to the Hardlight forums? Not much point in us non beta testers getting sent hear.

Since the HLP forum is pretty much dead in terms of user activity I decided to merge the website and the so called "official" forum. This doesn't mean, that we are abandoning the HLP forum.
