Feedback from DevTeam
i would like to ask the question the other way around.
are you happy with the betatester feedback so far?
We got back a reasonable volume of feedback, and Keldor has been locked away for the past few days sorting through it all, prioritizing issues, and fixing bugs.
The above might sound a bit like whining, but trust me, it's not. I was ecstatic at the feedback we got. I've said before (ad nauseum by this point) the game we have right now is already good. All the feedback was mostly minor little things that we can do to really make it excellent.
Keep the bug reports coming!

i hope us sacrificing our game experience will help make it so much better for the rest of the people later
I dont see it as a sacrifice at all. This is how Beta testing is supposed to go- You break the game and then try to break it again, and again, and again. Thats where many retail games, specifically MMOs, go wrong. They invite anyone and everyone (and it doesnt matter if youve tested before, you have to start somewhere), but unfortunatley ALOT of those "testers" are actually "players". They simply want to win the game before everyone else and not actually test it.
I have found most of the issues to be the same that people have already reported- such as flying through capital ship walls/hanger etc. However, I think this is a great experience to get a Wing Commander product out to the next generation.

Couldn't put it better myself!
Actually I have to say that I like the process of beta testing a lot! As gambit618 said before normally you try to just "beat the game". There is some kind of "pressure" that keeps you trying to finish the game as fast as you can. While beta testing you can relax, power your engines down, watch the battles, the beauty of the ship models (and perhaps spot some issues on them), the little details. You can play around with all the features, win missions using unconventional methods or just lose them to see what will happen then!
The only thing frustrating me is the fact that the number of bugs I encountered so far is much lower than I expected 😁 On the other hand I'm happy that your great work pays out! 😉

Indeed any that I have come across have already been addressed.

Heh; so I'm not the only one feeling useless here.
I haven't found *any* bugs that haven't been reported
Citizen Bleys"]Well you can report that at least 😊 That's also a very useful information. Also there's threads where you can voice your general impression of the game and the missions so far.
Good thread idea 😊
Really what I'm seeing so far guys is that everything I was playing a year ago or longer is just THAT much more polished. It's more polished than many commercial productions. Partly because it's a labour of love rather than on a budgeted timeline but also because you folks are really talented and have a critical and detailed eye. It's looking good...no...great so far!!
