Skyboxes

What do you guys think about the skyboxes so far? Do you get the feeling that you really KNOW in what system you are just by looking at the background? Do the systems feel different enough?

Spoiler (click to reveal)What did you guys think about the atmospheric skybox in Vega 4 (aside from the HUD contrast issues which simply cannot be fully fixed).

For me it's easily recognizable in which system I'm in - the Vega has some green tint while in Brimstone it's more red. Or maybe I'm just seeing things 😁

Spoiler (click to reveal)I was pleasantly surprised in the Vega4 when the planet grew bigger in each nav point when you got closer to it and finally appearing in it's atmosphere  my jaw dropped to the floor while I was admiring the astonishing skybox. If only some 3D volumetric clouds could be implemented I would be in heaven 😂 I plan not to use the autopilot to see what happen when you get to each navpoint, will the appropriate skybox just pop into place? It's a long way to go and the time compression is disabled but what the hell...
There were some repetitive patterns in star formations in Brimstone which I already reported during Beta 1 but it's not a big deal. Overall I think that skyboxes look fantastic.

I saw this posting after creating a posting for background images. I think the skyboxes are great, the two systems I’ve flow in have different colored planets and nebulae (which may affect the overall color contrast of the system), but I was thinking it might be nice to add a galaxy or two to at least one of the skyboxes. What do you think about that, considering even from Earth there are at least three galaxies visible to the discerning naked eye (not counting our own galaxy).

Skyboxes are final.
