ATI Driver Crash

Hi,

I am currently experiencing regular crashes whilst playing the game. The crashes can't be repro'd as they happen at different points (but always during spaceflight).

I've read this Known Issue post: www.wcsaga.com/forum/index.php?f ... =viewtopic which states that the ATI Catalyst 12.2 driver is to blame and suggests that users install 12.3. However ATI only offer at 12.2 version of their driver for Windows 7 64 bit (there is a 12.3 available for Linux apparently).

Q: Would I better off waiting for the Mac version (to play on the Snow Leopard partition), waiting for a patch to resolve the ATI issues ... or fooling around with my drivers on windows?


My hardware:
Current generation iMac with a AMD Radeon HD 6770M
Windows 7 64-bit running with bootcamp (i.e. not virtualized)
Graphics Driver c/o of Bootcamp 4 (via Snow Leopard). Version: 8.812.0.0
The driver appears to be Catalyst mobility one.


I'm not sure where WC Saga places it's logs. Wasn't in the 'usual' places.
