Installation options?

Hi,
is it possible to chose to change the installation path to "all users"?

Also is it possible to skip the file verifcation check?

You can install in any folder you want. Just change the default folder at install time. For example, I have install mine in D:\WingCommanderSaga\

It has to be confirm by the software team but I think it's not possible to bypass such an important thing as file checking... What is the need ?

I can see the installation folder option but then it creates files for the specific "user", what happens if another user of the computer wants to play, do you have to reinstall for them?

It is just a speed thing to avoid the verification since it stops after each 25% (or so) to check the next file. Maybe the archive file could come with a CRC checksum file during extraction, it may be quicker. Not a bid deal I suppose

Hey, you install WCS only once for months or years, I guess. I agree that the installation process is not quite fast, but...

For the users folders, I think you can always go for a *system* workaround using a NTFS folder "hardlink" or "junction" :

You will then create junctions for each users to a general data folder somewhere, say :
C:\Users\YoYo1\Documents\Volition\Wing Commander Saga ==> C:\WCsaga\users

You have to see by yourself if this trick worth the try or not.
