Hi,

first off all I'm really impressed by the work that has been done in this project.

However I haven't been able to see much of the game, as the game crashes to desktop if my carrier gets in view in the first mission of the prologue.

This does not happen when other types of capital ships come into view during the first mission of the darkest dawn campaign.

The game also crashes if I try to view the yorktown class vessel and the naval base in the techroom menu.

All other models are displayed without problem as far as i can say.

I'm running the game on a laptop
with a 2GHZ Intel core duo CPU,
2 gigabyte of Ram,
an onboard Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Graphics card
and windows Vista.

Could this be a bug or is it just my graphics card being to shitty to run this game?

It is a different problem. The model loads allright according to the debug log, then the game crashes.

Yes the problem doesn't seem to tbe the loading but the rendering. Probably related to vertex count. The chip might not be able to handle the number of vertices here... Not 100% sure though...

@OP: These two models unfortunately have A VERY complex hangar geometry. You chip might not be able to handle that.

If you don't have any other machine to play this right now... we're working on a possible patch for low-end machines here at the moment with lower res asteroids and stuff like that. No promises that this will go anywhere, but if it does it might end up helping you too.

thanks for looking into it.

guess I'll add this to the list of games that need to be played when I finally get around to buying a new computer.
