General questions was created by popgrop
Hi,
I just started playing this and it looks quite good, however I do have two general questions based on the fact that when you lose a mission (not uncommon) you start at the start.

(a) Is it possible to skip the banter in a mission and go straight to the actual mission part? The banter is fun the first time (very good actually), but having to listen to it again is somethng of a bug-bear for me.

(b) I play the game in windowed mode. Whenever use another window the game auto-pauses. I'd rather it didn't so I can do other things while the slow stuff happens. Is there a way to turn off autopausing?

Thanks.

As far as I know, (b) is unfortunately impossible as well.

Oh. That's unfortnately. Oh well.... :-(

The not-pausing thing would be awesome if someone could patch that out.

If I am not mistaken that is decided by windows and not the game, but if a mission is really to difficult for you, you should simply reduce your level difficulty.

You can do that for each mission individually when you click on the options button after the briefing and there is no shame in doing so as some of the missions are definitly a lot more challanging as others.

alternativly you could get some advice from this or another Wing commander forum how to improve your flight performance and I am sure there is some thread here that discribes proper dogfighting.

If you don't want to, many missions can be completed as a failure which may or may not influence the upcoming missions ( I really don't know) and there may even be situations in which you simply can't achive your primary goal.
