Terran Confederation Fighters

The Confederation fighter corps employs a range of spacecraft from light interceptors to heavy assault bombers. Each class fills a specific tactical role within the carrier air wing.

Super Ferret

F-44G Super Ferret

The Super Ferret is an upgraded variant of the venerable F-44A Ferret patrol fighter. Fast, agile, and equipped with enhanced sensor systems, the Super Ferret excels in the reconnaissance and patrol role. Its light armament and thin armor make it unsuitable for prolonged engagements, but no fighter in the Confed inventory can match its speed.

Rapier

F-44A-II Rapier

A medium fighter that has served the Confederation faithfully for decades. The Rapier offers a solid balance of speed, firepower, and durability. While newer designs have surpassed it in raw specifications, the Rapier remains a reliable workhorse and a favorite of experienced pilots who know how to exploit its strengths.

Sabre

F/A-76A Sabre

A heavy fighter-attack craft designed for multi-role operations. The Sabre carries impressive firepower and can mount torpedoes for anti-capital ship strikes. Its heavy armor and shield systems allow it to absorb punishment that would destroy lighter fighters, though it sacrifices some maneuverability in return.

Arrow

F-27 Arrow V

The Arrow is the Confederation’s premier light fighter — blazingly fast, supremely agile, and equipped with a surprisingly potent weapons package for its size. It excels in the interceptor role and in dogfights against similarly light Kilrathi designs. Its weakness is its fragility; the Arrow cannot afford to take hits.

Hellcat V

F-86C Hellcat V

The Hellcat V is the backbone of Confed’s fighter force in the final years of the war. A medium fighter designed to be affordable, reliable, and effective, the Hellcat does nothing spectacularly but everything competently. It is easy to fly, easy to maintain, and tough enough to bring its pilots home.

Thunderbolt VII

F/A-105A Thunderbolt VII

A heavy fighter-bomber that hits like a sledgehammer. The Thunderbolt VII carries an enormous weapons payload, heavy armor, and powerful shields. What it lacks in agility it makes up for in raw destructive power. Thunderbolt pilots learn early that turning fights are for other people — the Thunderbolt wins by overwhelming its targets with firepower.

Longbow

A-18D Longbow

The Confederation’s primary torpedo bomber. The Longbow is a large, heavily armored craft designed for one purpose: delivering ordnance against capital ships. It carries multiple torpedoes and an extensive defensive turret system. Slow and ungainly, the Longbow relies on fighter escort to survive long enough to reach torpedo range.

Excalibur

F-103A Excalibur

The pinnacle of Confederation fighter technology. The Excalibur is a super-heavy fighter that combines the speed of a medium fighter with the firepower and durability of a heavy. Equipped with advanced avionics, powerful weapons, and the most sophisticated electronic countermeasures in the fleet, the Excalibur is reserved for the most critical missions and the best pilots.

Kilrathi Fighters

The Kilrathi fighter corps favors aggressive designs built around firepower and intimidation. Their ships reflect the warrior culture that produced them — dangerous, unsubtle, and effective.

Darket

Darket Light Fighter

The Darket is the Kilrathi equivalent of a light interceptor — fast, cheap, and expendable. Kilrathi doctrine calls for deploying Darkets in overwhelming numbers to swarm enemy fighters. Individually fragile, a pack of Darkets can overwhelm even experienced pilots through sheer volume of fire.

Dralthi IV

Dralthi IV Medium Fighter

The iconic disc-winged Dralthi has been a mainstay of the Kilrathi fleet since the early years of the war. The Mark IV variant is faster and better armed than its predecessors. A solid all-around fighter that forms the backbone of most Kilrathi carrier air wings.

Gothri

Gothri Heavy Fighter

The Gothri is a powerful heavy fighter that combines strong forward firepower with respectable speed. Favored by Kilrathi aces and squadron leaders, the Gothri is a dangerous opponent in any engagement. Its dual-weapon mounts can deliver devastating alpha strikes.

Strakha

Strakha Stealth Fighter

The dreaded Strakha is equipped with a cloaking device that renders it invisible to sensors and the naked eye. Strakha pilots specialize in ambush tactics — decloaking, striking, and vanishing before their targets can react. The Strakha is the weapon that destroyed the TCS Tiger’s Claw and remains one of the most feared ships in the Kilrathi arsenal.

Vaktoth

Vaktoth Super-Heavy Fighter

The Vaktoth is a massive, heavily armed super-heavy fighter that outguns most Confederation designs. Bristling with weapons and protected by powerful shields, the Vaktoth is a flying fortress. Its size and mass make it less maneuverable than lighter fighters, but in a head-to-head slugging match, few ships can match it.

Paktahn

Paktahn Torpedo Bomber

The Kilrathi counterpart to the Longbow torpedo bomber. The Paktahn carries heavy torpedo armament and is designed to assault capital ships. Well-armored and equipped with defensive turrets, the Paktahn is a high-priority target for Confed fighters — letting one through to a carrier’s torpedo range can be catastrophic.

Kaha'haf

Kaha’haf Superheavy Fighter

An extremely rare and powerful Kilrathi superheavy fighter. The Kaha’haf represents the cutting edge of Kilrathi military technology, combining heavy armor, devastating firepower, and surprisingly capable engines. Encounters with this type are uncommon — and frequently fatal for the Confed pilots involved.

Sorthak

Sorthak Super-Heavy Fighter

The Sorthak is one of the largest and most heavily armed fighters in the Kilrathi inventory. A ponderous brute of a ship, the Sorthak sacrifices all pretense of agility for raw firepower and durability. It is typically deployed as a heavy assault platform against hardened targets and capital ship escorts.

Terran Confederation Capital Ships

The backbone of the Confederation fleet — from corvettes to fleet carriers, these are the ships that hold the line against the Kilrathi Empire.

Clarkson

Clarkson-class Transport

A standard Confederation military transport vessel. The Clarkson class hauls supplies, munitions, and personnel between fleet anchorages and the front lines. Lightly armed and minimally armored, Clarksons depend entirely on escorts for protection. Despite their humble role, these ships are the lifeblood of the fleet’s logistics chain.

Pelileu

Pelileu-class Light Carrier

A small escort carrier designed to provide fighter cover for convoy operations and secondary fleet actions. The Pelileu carries a modest air wing but compensates with reasonable speed and self-defense capability. Often assigned to escort duties where a full fleet carrier would be wasted.

Prowler

Prowler-class Corvette

A small, fast warship designed for reconnaissance, patrol, and special operations. The Prowler’s low sensor signature and high speed make it ideal for intelligence gathering and raiding missions. Its armament is light but sufficient for engaging escorts and transports.

Caernaven

Caernaven-class Frigate

A versatile escort frigate that forms the backbone of Confederation convoy protection. The Caernaven class mounts a balanced weapons fit capable of engaging both fighters and capital ships. Reliable, affordable, and produced in large numbers, these frigates are everywhere the Confederation needs them.

Southampton

Southampton-class Destroyer

A powerful fleet destroyer designed for anti-ship combat. The Southampton packs heavy firepower into a compact, fast hull. These destroyers serve as screening elements for carrier battle groups and as independent strike platforms for hit-and-run operations against Kilrathi supply lines.

Tallahassee

Tallahassee-class Cruiser

A heavy cruiser that serves as the primary capital combatant in Confederation battle groups. The Tallahassee class bristles with weapons and carries armor sufficient to stand in a battle line. These cruisers provide the heavy punch that fleet carriers need to break through Kilrathi defensive formations.

Yorktown

Yorktown-class Light Carrier

A light carrier class that has served with distinction throughout the war. The Yorktown carries a capable air wing and enough self-defense armament to survive in a hostile battlespace. These carriers are workhorses — less prestigious than fleet carriers but essential to maintaining fighter coverage across the Confederation’s vast frontage.

Jutland

Jutland-class Battleship

A heavily armored and armed battleship designed for sustained fleet engagements. The Jutland class represents the Confederation’s answer to Kilrathi dreadnoughts — massive vessels carrying devastating main batteries and layers of defensive armament. Few in number but immensely powerful.

Lexington

Lexington-class Fleet Carrier

The pride of the Confederation Navy. The Lexington-class fleet carrier is one of the largest and most capable warships ever constructed by the Terran Confederation. Carrying a full air wing of fighters, bombers, and support craft, a Lexington-class carrier is the centerpiece of any battle group it leads. The TCS Hermes is a ship of this class.

Kilrathi Capital Ships

The Kilrathi Imperial Fleet deploys a formidable array of capital ships, from fast destroyers to massive dreadnoughts. Their designs emphasize aggression and overwhelming force.

Sha'kar

Sha’kar-class Light Destroyer

A fast, agile Kilrathi destroyer designed for patrol and interdiction duties. The Sha’kar is nimble for a capital ship and carries sufficient firepower to threaten larger vessels. Often deployed in wolfpack formations to harass Confederation shipping lanes.

Dukara

Dukara-class Transport

The Kilrathi military transport workhorse. The Dukara class ferries troops, supplies, and materiel to the front lines. While lightly armed, Dukaras are often escorted by destroyer screens. Destroying Kilrathi logistics is a high priority for Confed raiders.

Kamrani

Kamrani-class Corvette

A small, fast Kilrathi warship used for scouting and escort duties. The Kamrani is expendable by Kilrathi standards — cheap to build and crewed by lower-caste warriors. Despite its modest capabilities, the Kamrani is dangerous in groups.

Ralarrad

Ralarrad-class Destroyer

A heavy destroyer that serves as the primary screening vessel for Kilrathi battle fleets. The Ralarrad mounts powerful anti-ship weapons and carries enough armor to absorb significant punishment. These destroyers are often encountered guarding the flanks of carrier groups.

Ralaxath

Ralaxath-class Heavy Destroyer

An upgunned variant of the Ralarrad, the Ralaxath carries additional weapons batteries and enhanced shields. The Ralaxath-class is a dangerous opponent that can threaten even Confederation cruisers in a one-on-one engagement.

Fralath

Fralath-class Cruiser

A Kilrathi heavy cruiser that forms the backbone of the Imperial battle line. The Fralath carries devastating main batteries and extensive point-defense systems. These cruisers are formidable opponents that require concentrated fire from multiple Confederation ships to neutralize.

Dubav

Dubav-class Light Carrier

A light carrier that supplements the Kilrathi fleet’s fighter coverage. The Dubav carries a modest but capable air wing and enough defensive armament to operate semi-independently. Often deployed to sectors where a full fleet carrier is not available.

Fralthi II

Fralthi II-class Cruiser

An advanced variant of the Fralath cruiser with upgraded weapons, enhanced shields, and improved fighter support facilities. The Fralthi II represents a significant upgrade in capability and is among the most dangerous cruiser-class vessels in the Kilrathi fleet.

Bhantkara

Bhantkara-class Fleet Carrier

The Kilrathi Empire’s primary fleet carrier. The Bhantkara carries a massive air wing of fighters and bombers and is protected by layers of heavy armor and shield generators. As the centerpiece of Kilrathi strike groups, the Bhantkara is always a high-priority target — and always heavily defended.

Hvar'kann

Hvar’kann-class Dreadnought

The most powerful warship in the Kilrathi Imperial Navy. The Hvar’kann-class dreadnought is a massive vessel carrying enough firepower to devastate entire fleets. Protected by nearly impenetrable armor and shield systems, and carrying its own substantial air wing, the Hvar’kann is the ultimate expression of Kilrathi military might. Encountering one is a death sentence for all but the strongest Confederation task forces.

Support Craft

Auxiliary and support vessels deployed by both sides for search-and-rescue, marine operations, and logistics.

SAR-13A Phoenix

SAR-13A Phoenix

The Confederation’s dedicated search-and-rescue shuttle. The Phoenix is a rugged, well-shielded craft designed to operate in active combat zones, retrieving ejected pilots and escape pods under fire. Unarmed but tough, the Phoenix has saved countless lives throughout the war.

Spartan

Spartan Assault Shuttle

A Confederation marine assault shuttle designed to deliver combat troops to hostile targets. The Spartan is armored against point-defense fire and carries enough marines to seize a ship or station. Used for boarding actions, planetary assaults, and special operations.

Zartoth

Zartoth Assault Shuttle

The Kilrathi counterpart to the Spartan. The Zartoth delivers Kilrathi marines — towering, savage warriors bred for close combat — to their targets. Heavily armored and mounting forward-facing weapons, the Zartoth is a threat even before its passengers disembark.

Naktarg

Naktarg Transport Shuttle

A Kilrathi utility shuttle used for personnel transport, cargo hauling, and general fleet logistics. The Naktarg is ubiquitous throughout the Kilrathi fleet — wherever the Imperial Navy operates, Naktargs are nearby, keeping the war machine supplied and moving.
